Amanda Krumm - Instructor

Amanda was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago.  At the age of three,  Amanda's parents enrolled her in ballet lessons.  Within the next few years, dancing took a central role in her life.  Amanda performed in many shows and competed in multiple cities in the midwest.  She joined "Freespace", a non profit dance company out of Chicago, then attended the University of Iowa for four years as a dance major. Amanda continued to perform in University shows and was a member of Duarte Dance Works, a company led by one of her dance professors. After school, she moved to San Antonio to get out of the cold weather and to share her love of dance with others. She is very happy to be part of the Fred Astaire Family.

Katherine Cisneros - Instructor

Katherine was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and began dancing when she was 7 years old. Her parents encouraged her by placing her in a variety of dance classes including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, etc. She continued to dance in high school as part of the dance team. Ballroom dancing has always been a passion for Katherine and after graduating, she decided to pursue it. Her dream came true when she joined the Fred Astaire staff and now she one day hopes to own her own studio. She is very excited to see where the elegant world of ballroom will take her!

Philip de los Santos - Instructor

Philip has been a part of the performing arts since he first heard his dad play the guitar and piano. He studied theatre arts at Lon Morris Junior College and Angelo State University obtaining both his Associates and Bachelor's Degrees. Philip went on to teach theatre at Glen Rose High School for two years after college. He joined Texas Family Musicals shortly after that to continue his acting and directing career and had a blast doing so. With music playing a large role in his life, Philip continues to play the piano to this day. He is an avid singer/songwriter and enjoys every minute he spends singing alongside his father and brothers. However, something was missing in his life. So Philip decided to pursue dancing and is now thrilled to be part of Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

Gabriela Montemayor - Instructor

Gabriela was born and raised in Coahuila, Mexico where she started dancing at the age of four. Dancing then became a central part of her life and she decided to share her passion for dance with others. She taught at Academia de Danza Terpsicore in Piedras Negras and is still choreographing for several competitions in her hometown. Gabriela decided to further her education and attended Texas State University where she received her BA in Dance and was a member of the Orchesis Dance Company. She is a bilingual instructor and her goal is to one day own a Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Mexico.


Rick Post - Manager

Mr. Post has been teaching with Fred Astaire Dance Studios since he began his dance career in 1961. His passion for dancing began when he was serving in the Navy and decided to take dance lessons at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios located in Norfolk, Virginia. Since he began instructing, Mr. Post has trained and transformed thousands of beginning students into advanced performers. He has been a Master Licensor in Colorado, opening and managing studios located in Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs, which are still in operation today. In the early 2000s, Mr. Post worked with the Junior Olympic Committee by serving as a judge for their Salsa dancing competitions. Many of his students have gone on to become professionals in the art of dance including one who became a World Salsa Champion and now owns the World Salsa Federation in Miami, Florida.
